Darb Mar Charbel is a project created by Darbessama foundation.

Darb Mar Charbel is a project created by Darbessama Foundation. A pilgrimage road that spans from Mar Antonios Kozhaya convent in Qadisha Valley to Our Lady of Lebanon Shrine in Harissa. The inspiration came to a group of Lebanese hikers in 2018 during their own pilgrimage trip to Saint Jacques de Compostela. After much thought, prayer, planning and hard work we have now reached the first execution phase of this endeavor. 130 Km of internationally and locally accredited trails, taking pilgrims of all faiths and from all over the world through locations and towns Mar Charbel has touched: birthplace, studies, miracles, ordination, convent life etc.… This is not just about building a trail; it is an investment in Lebanon, its tourism and most of all a legacy we are leaving for our children and future generations. This environmentally friendly project will benefit the towns and communities the trail will pass through: Guest houses, food services, trail building, maintenance work force, equipment and guides will all be sourced and trained within our communities and help sustain them. We are counting on our supporters and generous benefactors locally and internationally to help us reach our goal of sharing a unique journey with Mar Charbel, Lebanon's Saint.
